Position Summary

Looking for an exceptionally talented individual to serve as a Service Desk Technician with responsibilities including daily IT support. The Service Desk Technician’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install / remove PC components (such as memory, video cards, and hard drives)
  • Assist and perform storage room inventory
  • Assist by un-boxing and preparing equipment for installation including but not limited to PCs, Monitors, Phones, cables, adapters, & components.
  • Relocating PCs and equipment between building storage rooms
  • Solid experience on Microsoft technologies and Microsoft Windows Platform. In depth knowledge of handling and troubleshooting end user desktops and application issues on Microsoft Windows 10 with Office environment.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and Resolve operational issues with all Peripherals connected to Devices such as Projectors, Monitors, Printers, handheld scanners, docking stations, LCD displays and handheld mobile devices. Ability to perform troubleshooting, debugging, support local, and network printers.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to branches in the NYC area.
  • Candidate must be willing to work overtime, provide after-hours weekend support on a rotational and/or project basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective communication to support end user community, able to question the user to get adequate information. Collaborative attitude and creative thinking, ability to think “outside of the box” to assist end user to create a forward-thinking solution. Uses open-ended questions and active listening to help define user requirements and stage potential solutions.
  • Ability to independently research a problem using available resources, such as manuals, training materials and the Internet
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and usage of active directory to perform elementary activities like Password reset, account unlock, etc.
  • Familiarity with support ticketing process is a plus.

  • 2-5 Years’ Experience
  • Maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude in general, seeks to educate end users, and assist in resolving operational issues.
