We’re looking for a loader operator who will grow at our Olivehurst, CA location.
Summary: Supports soil production activities by ensuring a steady and sufficient supply of raw materials is prepped for use. Supports soil production activities by ensuring a steady and sufficient supply of raw materials is fed into the soils production line raw materials bins/hoppers by operating equipment such as a forklift, loader, and/or with manual labor. Maintains all raw material stock piles and storage bins.
Ensures equipment operation is in accordance with state and federal laws and company policies.
Manipulates levers and pedals to drive and control loader:
Transport raw materials from outdoor storage locations to soil production line bins/hoppers.
Manipulate outdoor raw materials storage piles to maintain neat piles and to maximize the use of space.
Transport raw materials supplies to soils production areas.
Operates loader on private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of one’s surroundings.
Fuel, clean and grease forklifts and loaders when necessary and/or during down-time.
Assists outside yard lead in pile management and inventory control.
Prepare raw materials for use in making finished product.
Identifies, tracks and documents raw material weight fluctuations, color discrepancies, contamination issues and insures proper mixing of raw material components and/or piles.
Manipulate raw materials storage piles to maintain neat piles and to maximize the use of space.
Transport raw materials from outdoor storage piles to soil production line bins/hoppers.
Performs pre-operation inspection of all equipment driven by operator. Reports all safety or maintenance needs to production supervisor and maintenance supervisor immediately.
Safely operates heavy equipment in accordance with state and federal laws and company policies.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, to adopt safety as a culture.
Works in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
Participates as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
HS diploma or equivalent.
2 years’ experience operating a Loader is required.
Knowledge of loader and other heavy equipment.
Forklift and loader training and current certification.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work positively in a team environment.
Ability to multitask.
