This Sales role is key in leading the business into the potential of its future state – as a core member of the agile Analytics Sales team, you will have excellent senior management exposure within LSEG and will have great autonomy in selling Analytics solutions.



Role Summary

As part of the Analytics Sales Team, you will seek new prospects and opportunities with new and existing customers. Collaborating with account management will be instrumental in identifying customer needs so that we can focus on solution selling. Your market feedback will be critical in shaping the business strategy as we look to identify thematic challenges our customers are facing, so that we can develop and deliver scalable solutions.

Lipper offers global, independent fund performance data in a precise, granular fund classification system. More than 50 years’ track record, 335,000 collective investments, with over 400 Lipper classifications, you can easily compare funds with similar investment mandates to benchmark fund performance.

  • Mutual funds
  • Closed-end funds (CEFs)
  • Exchange-traded funds (ETFs)
  • Hedge funds
  • Domestic retirement funds
  • Pension funds
  • Insurance products

This is a sales role that drives gross sales by proactively developing and closing solutions sales opportunities across a dedicated client portfolio (fund managers, funds strategy, fund marketing).

Proposition Sales Specialists are responsible for executing LSEG's strategy for growth and market differentiation. They work with and provide market insight to our Product Management and Account Management teams to support execution of this strategy.



Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of revenue goals through sales growth, cross selling, and commercial policy developments
  • Work closely with analytics solutions, product management, and marketing teams to ensure market intelligence, competitor analysis and market trends/conditions are captured and monitored
  • Lead responsibility for crafting product, relationship, and marketing strategies as well as commercial policies.
  • Proactively build and run your sales pipeline to ensure quarterly and annual revenue attainment
  • Creation and execution of quarterly business plans
  • Execution of go to market plans as well as increasing brand and product awareness through events, webinars, outreach


What you Bring:

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and selling software solutions to financial institutions (asset managers, banks, broker dealers, hedge funds)
  • Working knowledge of analytics is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise with some of the following: risk management or portfolio management analytics, valuation, structured finance, fixed income trading platforms, RMBS, CLOs
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven communicator comfortable running discussions and building relationships with various stakeholders at financial institutions
  • Some travel required (25%)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $113,200 - $210,400. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
