We are an industry leader in the manufacturing sector with an immediate need for a Chief Accountant with a strong accounting. This is a direct hire, permanent job located in Prichard, WV. Relocation assistance is available for candidates not local to the area.
In this role, you will will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for preparing all company financial documents including P&L reports, balance sheets, assets management and tax documents. We prefer candidates with previous manufacturing sector experience.
Responsible for day-to-day accounting including:
review accounts payable and receivable
prepare and review inventory and asset valuations and recommend any necessary changes or corrections.
In charge of financial closing and reporting including:
monthly consolidated financial statements
P&L broken down by business unit
month-end reconciliations and journal entries.
Serve as primary point of contact for external audits.
Support the CFO in budgeting and forecasting.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
Experience with International Reporting Standards is preferred.
Previous audit preparation experience is a plus.
Advanced skills with MS Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various lines of business and with external business partners.
