Job Summary Serves as the first point of contact for all IU sunapsis users and non-IU clients, assisting the sunapsis Client Relations Manager and sunapsis Associate Director of Business Development & Operations with all aspects of client management. This includes but is not limited to: maintaining regular office hours to analyze and assist all users with both technical and business operations of the system; maintaining written technical and end-user manuals; providing online and in-person training as needed to users both at IU and client institutions; assisting with initial technical installation and operational implementation of sunapsis at client institutions; testing various system actions on test servers; and assisting with the delivery and implementation of test plans for new product releases and updates.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience with customer support or technical support. Understanding of intermediate to more advanced IT concepts such as networking, relational databases (MS SQL, MS Access), and web-scripting languages (ColdFusion, PHP). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with a wide audience of clients and users. Ability to meet regular deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft Windows XP+. Mac experience. Proficiency in intermediate computing skills. Comfortable editing settings in the Control Panel, installing and uninstalling programs, and other related tasks. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Working Conditions / Demands Domestic travel, typically 6 - 8 trips per year.
