Review performance related sections of mutual fund shareholder reports and annual funds prospectuses. Certify data and footnotes are correct and meet regulatory requirements.
Maintain integrity of data in performance system (e.g. Daily NAVs, POP, SEC yields, net assets, expenses and distribution rates), performance data residing on Funds web site and at external vendors such as Morningstar and Lipper.
Produce, review and explain factor based performance attribution. Attribution will be generated across all investment strategies on a daily basis.
Provide statistical data needed for the completion of performance reporting, questionnaires, and requests for proposals (RFPs) read by portfolio managers, institutional sales and marketing, trustees, and third party consultants.
Onboard and manage new client requests, developing new work flows and reports.
Develop, maintain and enrich current workflow process and procedures.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
3-5 years of industry experience in fund accounting, investment operations or mutual fund performance measurement and attribution.
Should have experience and/or knowledge of performance reporting requirements in mutual fund shareholder reports.
Strong PC skills (MS Office) including advanced level spreadsheet skills.
Knowledge of performance systems (e.g. Confluence – UNITY, Morningstar, Factset, MSCI BarraOne).
Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and on a team.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong PC skills (MS Office suite and SQL Query), including advanced level spreadsheet skills
Knowledge of performance systems and/or portfolio accounting systems helpful
Strong analytical and communications skills (both oral and written)
Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
Prior mutual fund performance experience
Understanding of SEC regulations and their impact on reporting fund performance
Able to work independently under minimal supervision
Ability to apply knowledge of financial performance reporting to improve efficiencies
