What Youll Get to Do : You will perform information assurance in support of classified national security systems in an exciting and demanding research and development environment .

More About this Role :

  • Must be able to obtain a TS-SCI government security clearance with polygraph

  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security plan.

  • Perform weekly and monthly anti-virus and system patching for Windows/Linux based operating systems

  • Coordinate software and hardware installation and upgrades

  • Troubleshoot and repair host or network problems

  • Develop automated software scripts for parsing high volumes of data or enabling more efficient software patching or upgrades.

  • Verify the implementation of delegated aspects of the system security program.

  • Ensure all proper account management documentation is completed prior to adding and deleting system accounts.

  • Verify all system security documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

  • Preparation and submission of Master System Security Plans (SSPs) with limited assistance from the ISSO.

  • Conduct periodic assessments of authorized systems and providing the ISSO with corrective actions for all identified findings and vulnerabilities.

  • Ensure audit records are collected and analyzed in accordance with the security plan.

  • Report all security-related incidents to the ISSO.

  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.

  • Formally notifying the ISSO of any changes to a system that could affect authorization.

  • Ensure user activity monitoring data is analyzed, stored, and protected in accordance with the ITPSO policies and procedures.

  • Execute the continuous monitoring strategy.

  • Travel to other locations or customer sites as necessary

  • Perform other duties as required

Youll Bring These Qualifications :

Education: B.S.; Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering

Experience: 2-3 years related experience

Required Skills:

  • Possess active and in-scope TS-SCI security clearance

  • Fundamental knowledge of information technology and networking, including a working knowledge in one of the following: IP Networking, cyber security, or software development

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and WSUS/SCCP

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux software applications and other applications as required

  • Must hold at least one active Department of Defense 8570.01-M IAT/IAM Level II or Level III certification. Must be able to obtain IAT/IAM Level III certification within six months of appointment to customer systems if required by contract .

  • CCNA Security

  • SSCP

  • CAP

  • CASP+ CE

  • CISM

  • CISSP (or Associate)

  • GSLC

  • CCISO

Desired Certifications:

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT/IAM Level III certification

  • Experience with systems approved to process classified information including working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD 503, etc.), Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) as prescribed in NIST SP 800-53, SP 800-53A, and SP 800-137.

  • Experience submitting Master System Security Plans through eMass or customer-specific processes for accreditation.

  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing Rapid7 Nexpose

  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies
