Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for Student Affairs. Reporting to the Director of Communications, with a dotted-line report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs - Health and Wellness, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the direction and implementation of communications and marketing efforts for departments within Rutgers Student Health, including CAPS and HOPE, to promote the services provided to prospective students, current students, and the university community.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Works with the Student Health leadership to develop and implement communications strategies and initiatives that promote the represented departments in a positive and exciting manner and assists departments in achieving their communications goals.
* Oversees the SAMC office's creative team, made up of full-time marketing specialists and student interns and will be responsible for the managing the creative team resources in order to effectively and efficiently deliver products within established timelines.
* Assists the Director of Communications in supporting the communications efforts for the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities include digital and print media presence, branding of the departments and their programs, the coordination of a consistent message with the Division of Student Affairs and other departmental initiatives.
* Measures and tracks analytics to evaluate effectiveness of resources, workflows, and marketing and communication programs.
* Develops and sustains partnerships with various university units and departments, such as University Communications and Marketing, New Brunswick Communications, Admissions, the School of Arts and Science, Mason Gross School of the Arts.
