If you are a Quality professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Middlefield, CT location, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Technical Services and have primary responsibility for management of our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and the responsibility of leading our calibration and warranty return/technical service department.  You will have the ability to gain first hand knowledge of all the products that we manufacture and work with a variety of team members to support the sales of our products into the Food Service, Healthcare and Industrial Markets.  You will work collaborateively with the Digital Solutions team and ensure that we are providing customers a high quality product that solve their most challenging temperature monitoring needs.

AS A QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL: 

  • Partner with the Sr. Manager Technical Services to develop and improve ISO 17025 compliant calibration processes.  

  • Create procedures for new and exisitng processes.  Direct and complete testing required to establish proper measurement traceability.

  • Manage the daily workflow of the calibration and warranty return/technical service departments.  Provide leadership and guidance to the team to meet the production and service needs of our customers.   Responsible for direct supervision of 5 direct reports.

  • Implement, maintain and improve the Quality Management System.  Manage internal audit of the Quality Management System.  Identify nonconformances and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare evaluation reports for warranty review and product performance indicators.  Lead warranty review meeting, presenting data and coordinate action items for next meeting.

  • Develop measures of quality and publish reports on a regular basis.  Identify and make recommendations for the implementation of corrective actions as required to address adverse trends.

  • Carry out continuous improvement activities to reduce waste, improve processes and increase productivity.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • BS Degree 

  • Five (5) years experience in a Quality Assurance Capacity supporting a manufacturing and service operations
    Supervisory experience, or equal combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO17025, Quality Management Systems

  • Office 365, Database Knowledge, ERP experience

  • Strong customer focus and decision making skills

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Calibration and/or inspection laboratory experience

Digital Solutions focuses on providing temperature monitoring systems to ensure food safety and environmental temperature monitoring in the foodservice, industrial and healthcare markets.  Approximately 100 employees work in Middlefield, CT, who support our manufacturing, quality and warehousing functions.  We work very closely with other locations in Digital Solutions which include:  Georgia, Minnesota, Idaho, Florida and Italy.
