Work Location : Remote

**COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and deploy relational and multidimensional databases:
  
  
  
  • In both on-premise and cloud environments
  
  
  • On multiple platforms – SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, NoSQL
  
  
  
  


• Using traditional and modern constructs including RDBMS; data warehousing concepts; MDBS models; AI and machine learning database deployments


• Develop and manage effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment process (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments)


• Package subsets of data into microservices and assist with implementing API management tools for transferring data


• Assist with modernizing legacy applications to a cloud environment


• Work with applications and data in a containerized environment


• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• Experience providing database and/or web applications development support required


• BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Desired:

• Agile software development experience highly desired


• AWS Native Services, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes, and/or Microservice experience highly desired


• Working knowledge of DevOps support processes and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience a plus

Security Clearance:

Active secret clearance required. Interim secret clearance acceptable to start.

Education:

BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
