Part-Time Office Manager in Champaign, IL

M-F 3-5 hours a day (25 hrs a week)

1 Year Contract (possible extension)

The Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision and task delegation. Energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people. Location: Champaign Illinois, USA

Responsibilities: * 1 of 2 Key Holders for the Site * Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands * Monitor and maintain office & lab inventory * Partner with HR, QA, and Health & Safety to develop and/or maintain office & lab SOP's (standards of practice); monitor & document training and adherence to these policies * Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment needs * Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord, ensuring items are invoiced and paid on time * Establish & maintain a historical reference by outlining procedures for protection, retention, record disposal, retrieval, and staff transfers * Partner with Site Leader to provide orientation and basic training to new employees * Be a Resource for onsite staff * Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data * Maintain a safe and secure working environment

Requirements: * Available 3-5 Hours Per Day consistently throughout the week * Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience * Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work * Attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and planning skills * Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures * Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures * Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures * Knowledge of business and management principles * Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages, including MS Office * Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 30lbs Office Manager key skills & proficiencies: * Communication * Analysis and Assessment * Judgment * Problem Solving * Decision Making * Planning and Organization * Time Management * Attention to Detail * Accuracy * Initiative * Integrity * Adaptability * Developing Standards * Process Improvement * Inventory Control
