Program Control Specialist II/III

ManTech is seeking a Project Control Specialist II/III to draft command level correspondence using applicable Navy and Marine Corps correspondence guides, record key communications for leadership meetings, and provide technical reviews and recommendations regarding administrative matters.

This position requires a DoD SECRET clearance (verifiable in DISS)

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide programmatic and analytical support with execution and management of multiple acquisition programs in various acquisition phases as defined under the DoD 5000.

  • Assist the Project Office with execution and management of cost, schedule and performance parameters.

  • Provide acquisition expertise and development/maintenance of acquisition documentation, presentation/briefing materials, coordination and action item tracking, and general day-to-day support of programmatic activities.

  • Support program office documentation development activities including drafting, reviewing, and updating documents, presentations, and correspondence.

  • Helps develop and standardize document templates for common usage.

  • Provides grammar, style, and formatting recommendations to document and brief drafts provided for review.

  • Provides first draft creation for pre-formatted documents and briefs using technical information provided by Subject-Matter-Experts.

  • Works with graphics personnel to assist with professional integration of photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts of documents and briefs.

  • Provides editorial reviews of documents prior to formal staffing.

  • Revises documents and briefs as updates are required.

  • Coordinate and attend meetings and conferences, capture and prepare meeting minutes, and provide presentation/ briefing support.

  • Must be able to work independently and resolve problems within an assigned area of responsibility.

  • Must possess strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills and have the ability to multi-task, communicate professionally, and interface with management, supervisors and peers.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with (5+) years of experience supporting Department of Defense or other Federal agencies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Pro.

  • Knowledge of the Department of the Navy (DoN) Correspondence Manual (SECNAV M-5216.5) and the Marine Corps Supplement to the DoN Correspondence Manual (MCO 5216.20A).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with managing documents in Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Certified Associate Program Management Professional (CAPM) or DAU Level 1 certification requirements in Program Management preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
