Job Description

Position Summary: 
The Swamper is responsible for assisting truck drivers and other company personnel in daily oilfield activities on locations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Hook-up and unhook hoses from tanks and trucks
Clean mud tanks, upright tanks, and frac tanks
Ensure line connections are holding and no leaking is occurring
Assist personnel with spill cleanups
Work with vac trucks primarily (job duties may vary)
Will attend safety meetings and participate in Behavior Based Safety Observations
Has mastered all work order and invoice paper work and procedures
Will lead crew in JSA’s and tailgate meetings
Other duties as assigned
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
Ability to teach company confined space policy and procedure
Has mastered all skills on truck and is able to teach those skills to his/her peers
Shows leadership skills and maintains a positive attitude
Mechanical aptitude is required
Previous experience in the oil/gas or trucking industry is desirable
Ensure all safety standards and personnel policies are being followed
Wear proper PPE on job sites
Strong commitment to health and safety on the worksite
Knowledge in oilfield related tools and equipment
Valid Driver’s License
Work well with others
Ability to give direction and make decisions on his/her own
Abel to work outside in extreme weather conditions
Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English
