Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Day-To-Day Operations - Maintaining a clean, organized & safe work space for all staff.
  • Following company procedures for opening & closing including processing all paperwork correctly, adjusting the environment appropriately, following legal protocol when applicable, managing time to adhere to company’s guidelines & generally ensuring that the restaurant is opened or closed in a manner consistent with our expectations.
  • Properly scheduling staff based on business expectations & trends.
  • Monitoring beverage costs (with Regional Manager), identifying issues & working toward solutions.
  • Evaluating the need to hire, train, coach or terminate staff as needed.
  • Ensuring that all guests receive prompt, professional & friendly service during all periods of business.
  • Handling guest issues as they arise - always working toward a solution that leaves the guest satisfied & ready to return to our restaurant.
  • Communicating any food-based guest issues with BOH and any service-based guest issues with staff (privately) & Regional Manager as necessary.
  • Following through on daily & weekly cleaning schedules including a weekly walk-through of the entire store.
  • Ensuring all property maintenance issues are communicated.
  • Implementing & upholding service standards that ensure a positive experience for the guest (table greets, notifying guest of menu changes, pre-bussing, condiment pre-sets, knowledgeable suggestions, etc).
  • Setting up a proper & effective training schedule for all employees
  • Knowing & upholding ALL policies & standards of the company.
  • Maintaining a positive environment for the staff.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-years in a salaried restaurant management role + 5-years restaurant industry experience
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
  • P&L management, hiring / firing / training / scheduling and facility maintenance experience
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
  • Ability to work late hours five days per week (approx. 55 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
  • Associates degree a plus
