SR. LOGISTICS MANAGER

RICHMOND, VA LOCATION
$100-130K PLUS 20% BONUS
Job responsibilities :
•Leads and Develops a cross-functional Logistics team that’s responsible for Transportation, 3rd Party Warehousing, Inventory Management, Vendor Management and Customer Service.
•Provides strategy and oversight to bids with transportation and warehousing service providers including contraction negotiation strategy, ensuring adherence to the agreed terms and managing corrective actions.
•Oversees all elements of Perfect order (Fill Rate, On time Delivery and Invoice accuracy), partnering cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement of these and other KPIs.
•Partners with Senior Leadership to develop and implement strategy/vision for logistics, communicates and uses influencing skills to gain support.
•Provides Economic Data and analysis to support the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Transportation and 3PLs.
•Manages the Freight & Distribution spend budget. Analyzes and reports out on spend drivers, explains variances, and formulates solutions.
•Partners closely with the Support Services team to identify any opportunities with Customer Deductions and Overages, Shortages and Damages and works cross-functionally to address them.
•Establishes relationships with customers and partners on improvement initiatives.
•Works closely with the Sales team to identify areas of opportunity to improve customer satisfaction
•Drives Continuous improvement activities to ensure that company goals are achieved.
•Responsible for establishing clearly defined goals and responsibilities for the team, leading engagement activities and removing any obstacles that could hinder team success.
•8-10+ years of prior Supply Chain experience with focus on Logistics Management.
•Bachelors Degree required; major in Business, Supply Chain Management or other related field preferred.
• 5 years Food manufacturing experience preferably with a top name company, very progressive
Ability to influence various business units across the organization.
•Aptitude for solving new and complex problems in a dynamic environment.
•Demonstrated negotiation skills and capacity for strategic supplier relationship management.
•Deeply analytical, strong proficiency in Excel, experience/exposure to data visualization suites preferred.
•Experience leading high performing teams.
