Princeton HomeCare, a unit of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, provides comprehensive in-home nursing and rehabilitation, hospice care and support services. We offer temporary care for those recovering from surgery or short-term conditions, as well as extended care for individuals with chronic conditions or illnesses. Each year, our highly skilled nurses, allied health professionals and homemakers make nearly 90,000 visits to patients and clients throughout the Greater Central New Jersey region.

Princeton Health is currently searching for a Full Time, Days, Registered Nurse- RN for Princeton HomeCare Services.
Position Summary: A registered professional nurse responsible for the comprehensive health service to individuals, family, and the general public throughout teaching, counseling, referral and direct care. The RN functions with a large degree of independence and must draw on their own experience and education to provide care under a variety of conditions. They will act as case managers for a group of patients and collaborates with physicians and other disciplines about the care and needs of patient. Throughout education and the patient will understand the services recommended and be prepared at the time of discharge or re certification. Case conferencing and collaboration with other team members and the physician is ongoing throughout the episode of care.
They are an interdisciplinary team member consisting of both professional and non-professionals. Ongoing interdisciplinary assessment is the continual involvement of all skilled professional staff involved in the plan of care from initial assessment through discharge and periodic interactive discussions. i.e. status and recommendations for plan of care.
All Princeton Health employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
- Associates degree
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in New Jersey
- CPR certification
- Current Driver's License and auto insurance
- One (1) year of Medical Surgical or Skilled Nursing facility experience
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service focus
- Weekend and Holiday and on call
- Critical thinking skills
- Must be competent to work independently and supervise a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills to document/ documentation in the EMR and other applications
- Pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds
- Bachelor's degree
- National certification in a related field such as geriatrics, homecare, hospice, medical/surgical
- Knowledge of the homecare and Medicare requirements
