Human Resources Generalist

Beacon Global Strategies LLC Washington, DC (Onsite) Full-Time
CB Est Salary: $49K - $90K/Year

The HR Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities.

This role will be instrumental in Talent Acquisition including coordinating campus hiring as well as experienced hires.

The Generalist will administer the HR Systems and their integrations with each other as well as other relevant systems including Finance systems.

Job Scope:

  • Create recruitment plans and calendar according to operation and sales projections.
  • Create tools to support recruitment such as candidate collateral, interview guides, evaluations.
  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, performance plans and warning letters.
  • Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.
  • Ensure that all processes are automated where possible and systems are integrated where possible.
  • Create employee engagement plans, get necessary budget approval, and initiate activities.
  • Support the Chief of Staff, Director of Communications in drafting and distributing internal communications.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain CSR standards including the DEI agenda and complete regular ESG reporting.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to managers on evaluating, documenting, and providing feedback on employee performance and recommending pay adjustments accordingly.
  • Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee concerns. Support development and ongoing management of time tracking, employee staffing and other tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
  • Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven

Preferred:

  • Significant experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Experience in professional services
  • MBA
  • System implementation and management experience
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
