Who We Are:

As a recognized leader in space science research and spacecraft instrumentation, avionics, and electronics, we are helping to reveal the secrets of our solar system and the universe.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Responsible for leading and directing the Information Technology program of a Technical Division of 400 employees and coordinating the activities with corporate IT. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems required, and Mac knowledge also strongly desired.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and directing the division IT activities required to meet the corporate and division IT and security policies and procedures
  • Responsible for working with IT group leadership to coordinate, prioritize and monitor activities of the Division IT staff
  • Oversee implementation/deployment of the Division’s IT plans and investments
  • Perform strategic planning and provide guidance and evaluation in areas such as hardware and software selection, system upgrades and maintenance, and integration of new tools and technology
  • Support a vision that aligns with the overall division science, technology and market strategy
  • Establishe a metrics-driven system to evaluate the effectiveness of the Division’s IT program
  • Position may include additional non-IT related management responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors with a 3.00 GPA in Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, IT management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with directly related work experience
  • Management coursework or training strongly desired
  • 15 years: Experience in information technology leadership responsibilities
  • Knowledge of, and experience implementing cybersecurity best practices in a corporate IT environment
  • Leadership, management and organizational skills required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills is required
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, industry-standard security controls frameworks (e.g. NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT 5)
  • NIST 800-171 cybersecurity controls experience is desired
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required


Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
