Job Description

Job Summary
Prepares financial and analytic data reports in support of strategic and operational projects involving the Enterprise Vendor Management Office (VMO). Performs duties of high complexity and scope, including preparation of quantitative and qualitative metrics, vendor analysis and reporting. Works in collaboration with Supply Chain Management leadership, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, other service line leaders, to translate business needs and reporting of vendor information.

Essential Functions
  • Provides financial, quantitative, and qualitative analytical support for Vendor Management Office and operational projects within Supply Chain Management.
  • Integrates data from multiple sources into a single dataset for analysis and reporting, while demonstrating high skill sets in various cloud-based applications.
  • Translates data and other information into meaningful information, to ultimately be used by senior leadership for executive decision-making.
  • High proficiency with various software and BI tools such as Excel, Access, Word, Visio, Power Point, Share Point, PowerBI, Business Objects, OTBI, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, regional, and national healthcare issues impacting the services of the department.
  • Understanding of vendor management lifecycle, vendor relationships and supplier diversity program initiatives.
  • Assists with Enterprise spend categorization, evaluation and analytics resulting in timely accurate spend data for dissemination.
  • Prepares monthly financial spend and vendor analysis summarizing the results including analytics to support the supplier diversity program.
  • Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc interpretation of vendor results to leadership.
  • Identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to data inconsistencies.
  • Maintains knowledge and use of technology including Oracle, Supplier Gateway and other tools.
  • Develops vendor scorecard models to support Vendor Management Office initiatives.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to implement tracking of vendor metrics/KPIs and compliance.
  • Assists with third-party spend planning and forecast development.
  • Safeguards Enterprise sensitive business data.
  • Represents the organization in an honest, ethical, and professional manner and encourage others to do the same supporting a culture of integrity within the team.
  • Effectively handle multiple demands/priorities and quickly adapt to change.
  • Works well independently and demonstrates innovation and creativity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Generally works in an office environment, sitting at a desk, working with a computer, talking on the telephone, and preparing reports and other statistical data. Some of the time is spent in meetings at a variety of facilities, making presentation and offering advice to System executives. On occasion, requires standing, walking and traveling in personal car to other facilities. Also, occasionally requires carrying of up to 25 pounds of materials (files, projectors, laptops). Position also requires the ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure, to work in a safe and effective manner, and to handle different issues and priorities simultaneously.

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. 5 to 7 years of experience in a healthcare or business analytics setting. Prior experience with Business Intelligence tools required. Thoroughly understands the elements of the Data Models relevant to assigned projects and identifies data integrity issues using complex analysis of the data. Must be able to work rapidly and accurately under pressure to work in a safe and effective manner and to handle different issues and priorities simultaneously.
