Job Description

A Payroll Specialist job is available with an exponentially growing company in Mahwah, NJ. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for preparing and processing biweekly payroll and assisting payroll changes for at least 500 employees. You must have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years’ payroll experience to be considered.  The salary for this job is commensurate with experience. Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing bi-weekly payroll
  • Managing and distributing payroll reports
  • Processing job cost reports
  • Prepare, input, and upload monthly payroll related journal entries
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for payroll processing
  • Run monthly payroll reports
  • Handle employee garnishments, deductions, and verifications
  • Other related duties as assigned

 
 
Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in (preferably) Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years’ experience in payroll
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of ADP is a plus**
