Healthcare Economics Analyst I/II - R2957-6334 at Blue Cross of Idaho in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Blue Cross of Idaho has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Economics Analyst. This individual will use advanced statistical and computational methodologies to deliver insights and identify strategic opportunities to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. Analyzes large data sets from various sources to evaluate trends and create models. We are looking for a candidate with: Healthcare Economics Analyst I: Education: Bachelor's Degree Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college) Healthcare Economics Analyst II: Experience: 2 years' data analysis experience in any of the following areas: Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Accounting Education: Bachelor's Degree Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college) What a day would look like: Examine and identify data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making. Perform analytic research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations. Research and apply knowledge of existing and emerging statistical and data science principles, theories, and techniques. Presenting and explaining analysis to varied internal and external customers. Make proficient use of spreadsheets (Excel), programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc.), and other relevant software to capture and manipulate data and complete modeling tasks.
