Shipping Supervisor
Position Purpose
The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Superintendent and this position has the overall responsibility for production/work tasks in the assigned work area.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Ensure that product is processed in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal regulations, including but not limited to company QA policies and USDA regulations.

Ensure that all processes in assigned work area start up in a timely manner

Ensure that all work stations are operating correctly at all times

Oversee the day-to-day duties performed by hourly associates to ensure that all product is processed in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring that quality requirements are being met

Promote a positive, organized, and teamwork-oriented working environment

Perform other tasks as assigned by Superintendent and Plant Manager

The Production Supervisor

Knowledge of Poultry Processing would be preferred
-
Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful
-
Basic computer skills are desired, and experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or related field would be preferred
-
At least 2 years Supervisory level experience would be preferred
-
Experience in Poultry Processing would be preferred
