Senior Sales Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Manager will be responsible for continuing to scale and lead our sales organization. They will be an integral part of the sales leadership team by providing continuous mentorship for our sales reps, refining our sales process, defining and tracking our KPIs, and spearheading recruiting alongside our People Team. You will work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, sales operations, marketing operations, and sales enablement to drive the strategy for the sales teams. Ability to deliver on your team’s target is critical and this will include working effectively with internal stakeholders such as Solutions Consultants, the Marketing Team, and our Account Management and Analyst teams to ensure we offer solutions that deliver against our sales targets and have a high rate of retention. The candidate will be leading a team of eight junior to mid-level sales individuals.
The ideal candidates will have experience exceeding targets in an eCommerce and/or marketing technology-based SMB/Mid Market SaaS sales environment. Working in a fast-paced company, they will have the ability to learn quickly and have the self-motivation and determination it takes to succeed in a rapidly evolving environment.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Lead and drive overall sales strategy to develop and close new business and upsells (first 90 days) within the US SMB/Mid Market markets.
- Build and lead high-performing teams with a focus on talent selection, development, and performance management.
- Achieve new business and growth targets in 2024 while managing a growing team.
- Apply sales discipline and best practices to penetrate new accounts and continually drive new logo acquisition.
- Accurate revenue forecasting at both an individual and team level (~5% is the standard).
- Attract, recruit, train, mentor, and retain exceptional sales talent.
- Build and manage the SMB/Mid Market sales pipeline.
- Become an expert on Teikametrics’ technology and services as well as industry/domain expertise.
- Define, measure, and report the performance metrics of the sales activities.
- Support the development of sales proposals, packaging, and pricing strategies that position Teikametrics ahead of the competition.
- Maintain excellent cross-departmental working relationships with senior members of the product, sales, marketing, finance, engineering, and HR organizations.
- Work Eastern Time Zone hours.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- The ability to effectively engage with prospects at all levels from user to CXO.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and active listening skills across multiple cultures.
- Polished presentation skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask to prioritize and manage workflow.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively engage with prospective clients.
- Highly developed networking skills.
- Solid account qualification skills; self-starter approach to researching target accounts and gathering contacts.
- Strong pipeline forecasting ability.
- A positive and enthusiastic outlook toward the attainment of sales and marketing goals.
- Focused drive to exceed expectations.
WHAT CAN HELP YOU STAND OUT
- Previous experience selling tech solutions to sellers and brands $5m-50m GMV in eCommerce or Marketing.
- Understanding of, and contacts within, the eCommerce industry and experience selling solutions within the Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok ecosystems.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Groove, Gong, Clari, and Apollo.
Location
Remote, US with weekly/monthly/ad hoc visits to the Boston office. Ideal candidate lives within a 2-hour drive of downtown Boston.
