HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATOR/PAYROLL - Birmingham, AL Dynamic company seeks Human Resource Administrator/Payroll to embark on a successful career at our Corporate Headquarters. Motivated and energetic people with a sense of urgency will have the chance to join Ram Tool Construction Supply Co., the largest family-owned distributor of specialty commercial construction supplies in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Texas. Ram Tool has a vast product line with 90,000+ unique items to sell and over 90% of deliveries made within 24 hours. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Administrator/Payroll will serve to support corporate departments with administrative duties. The role is designed to be fluid and task oriented. Attention to detail, ability to handle a diverse workload and confidentiality are essential. Knowledge of commonly-used business practices is expected. Delivering heroic service with a sense of urgency to our internal customers, our employees, is our number one goal. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reporting and managing New Hires, Terminations and Transfers
  • Administrative Payroll duties
  • Helping with the digital file set up
  • Keeping up with inventory and sending out of various packet's
  • E-verify confirmation
  • Other duties assigned by Management
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree, 0-2 years of experience required, 1 year of experience is preferred. Equivalent experience, however, may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience in Payroll Department required
  • Experience or exposure to ADP preferred
  • Experience or exposure to Cornerstone OnDemand a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary
  • Ability to navigate the Internet required
  • Interpersonal Skills-the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
  • Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
