Position Description
As a Database Engineer you will be part of the team that designs and develops SAAS offerings targeting the small and medium sized *** customer base through API. You will be deeply involved in leading the development process from DB prospective. You must have hand-on experience working with software engineering groups, to design, implement, debug and tuning of SQL Queries, MySQL and No SQL databases. You should have ability to work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple projects, and complete tasks in a timely and expected quality fashion; he or she should posse excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible, with high sense of ownership of assigned projects in order to be a successful team player, with highly motivated on all detail tasks of traditional DBE works, maintain a strong sense of urgency,
Skills Required
' Design, maintain and build logical and physical database models.
' Design database objects, procedures, functions, triggers, dynamic queries, and work with developers to implement complete DB solutions
' Reverse engineering, develop and maintain database change control, documentation, and processes based on policies, guidelines and standards.
' Participate in the requirements specification process with project teams to help define technical requirements, scope, and limitations.
' Design, implement and test database backup, restore, disaster recovery, database integrity, and security.
' Extensive experience in SQL Server enterprise Windows environments.
' Extensive experience in MySQL on Linux or Windows operating systems environment.
' Extensive database schema design experience, and proficient in debugging, identifying root issues, performance tuning and optimization using native/3rd party monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
' Experience with replication, mirroring, database clustering, partitioning, log shipping, and data encryption.
' Deep understanding of internal database system objects, indexes, and statistics.
' Knowledge of noSQL, specifically MongoDB is a plus. ' Knowledge of .Net, C# and Java programming languages is a plus.
' Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
' Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulating.
' Self-motivated, great team player, and able to work independently
Skills Preferred
' Prior experience of Fulfillment or Warehouse Management system or domain, surely will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
' 7-10 years of T-SQL or DB programming and fine tuning
Experience Preferred
Education Required Bachelors or Masters in Computer science
