Position Summary: This position can be based in either Fresno or San Ramon. To enable the highest level of support to our valuable internal team members, the Manager of Transmissions and Substation Engineering is a key leader and the master architect of all things technology.
Performance and support of the following:
Bentley Tool- Substation Design and Engineering
PLS CADD for Transmission Pole and Tower Design and Engineering
Consistently increase the Efficiency of design tools.
Provide expert support and guidance to the line of business.
Provides the superuser support and continuous upkeep of the tools/Devices working with the IT department
Guide Business analysts supporting the tools.
Work toward common goals with other managers by sharing knowledge, learning, and building consensus to implement solutions.
Develop and deliver comprehensive user training working with learning academy and various vendors supporting the tools
Lead the new tool development and upgrades as required.
Work with IT for proactive life cycle replacement of IT devices.
BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems, etc. or equivalent work experience.
5 years of job-related experience in Business, IT, or Engineering fields
7+ years in Business Analysis, which may include 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
Project management experience.
Expert knowledge of the business requirements process.
Leadership and coaching skills.
Detail oriented, analytical, good oral and written communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
Expert-level knowledge of the utility business and multiple corresponding line of business-related functional areas.
Ability to work with/ and or lead different teams across disciplines and levels and promote good working environment. Strong understanding of the business processes of department (s) supported and the impact(s) of technical changes to the collective business processes across functional units.
Understanding of development and implementation of work management and scheduling systems and processes.
