UP Health System - Marquette

Responsible for design, development, programming, testing, configuration, and implementation as directed, including documentation of procedures and maintenance of interfaces. Researches, designs and develops computer software systems and interfaces, in conjunction with the IT strategic plan.
Performs interface design mapping, programming, configuration, implementation, installation, documentation and maintenance as directed, including documentation of procedures and training of users.
Reads and understands system requirements and specifications. Performs unit and integration testing on own work, and can work with little or no supervision.
Determines application and system requirements, working with department personnel and users, to evaluate current functionality and design new functions. Performs interpretation of functional requirements to technical requirements.
Provides effective user training, support, and presentation of application functionality or program output, while utilizing customer service skills.
Assists the Clinical & Business Informatics and Support Services teams in the development and maintenance of implementation outlines, plans, time-lines, design specifications, train and access for the purpose of managing and coordinating system support.
Minimum Education
  • Associate's degree required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
  • 2 years IT software related field preferred
