Pathology Technician  Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group has an opening for a Pathology Technician in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role may be eligible for medical benefits, paid time off including vacation sick time and holidays, 401K, and bi-annual performance reviews. Responsibilities: Coordinate necropsy logistics with Research Assistants, Study Directors, and the Study Coordinator. Maintain tissue tracking chain of custody from fresh tissue specimen to archival. Set up lab, collect data, assist in necropsy, grossing, and trimming of specimens in preparation for histology. Assist with photographing of gross specimens, set up of cassette printer and cassette labeling. Coordinate external tissue processing and return of completed tissue specimen slides and other pathology materials. Arrange for the creation of purchase orders, obtain quotes, and finalize invoices from external partners. Maintain and organize records, logs, and workload reports. Answer inquiries from outside partners on histologic techniques or refer to pathologist. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment and replenish stock as needed. Maintain and perform minor repairs on lab equipment. Assist in the development of pathology reports preparing tables, QC, etc. and pathology documentation necropsy records, trim records, etc. Coordinate distribution of pathology reports and coordination of archival in system. Support pathology lab services across Preclinical Operations. Qualifications Associate s Degree or higher from an accredited college/university. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Previous experience working in a pathology/ tissue lab preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team. Excellent decision-making skills. Well-versed in Microsoft Office products and technical computer skills required.
