Raytheon Missile Systems' Strategic Sourcing team is seeking a uniquely talented Supplier Development Professional to fill a challenging, but extraordinarily rewarding role. As a supplier development professional, you will participate and lead supplier development activities with current and potential Raytheon suppliers. Your efforts will be integral to evolving and shaping Raytheon's supply base and will directly tie to Raytheon's enterprise and business strategies.

Job Summary:

In this position, you will be responsible to greatly deepen our knowledge of potential and current suppliers - growing our understanding of their capabilities, how they work, and how we can best work together. Your engagements will also assist in growing suppliers' understanding of Raytheon's expectations and how we work. This mutual understanding will be fundamental to driving joint success.

You will heavily utilize Raytheon Six Sigma™ principles and tools in your supplier engagements. The engagements will vary across the stages of the product life cycle, from new product development to performance optimization of production products. You will ensure that your efforts have lasting success through following a systemic approach and instituting sustaining measures. You will work with high caliber teams from across Raytheon Company and in the supply base at both large and small businesses.

This position may allow telecommuting however the preferred candidate's locations are: Tucson, Dallas, Huntsville, and Louisville.

Qualifications You Must Have:

* 8 + years of Six Sigma, continuous improvement implementation, supplier development and /or Lean experience
* BS/BA with any major related to this job description
* Prior experience leading and facilitating Six Sigma/Lean events
* Flexibility to travel
* The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

* Six Sigma Expert, Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Expert
* Experience implementing and applying Lean Manufacturing tools and principles
* Experience in supplier quality, engineering, operations and/or supply chain
* Experience in developing and/or managing supplier relationships
* DOD Experience

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years experience
