Maintenance Mechanic Technician

Saint Petersburg, Florida

$25-$30/ hour DOE

Busy manufacturing company located in Saint Petersburg is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join their team immediately. 

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years maintenance experience with facility and machinery maintenance. Electricity (AC & DC), and plumbing experience required. Computer skills required. Previous experience with sheet metal, welding, and fabrication desired.

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing facility and machinery equipment related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Responsible for assisting various departments with needed fabrication work; assist R&D with various tasks including but not limited to fabrication

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Installs repairs and performs maintenance on industrial equipment, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electric carts, electrical systems and fixtures.
• Modify new or existing machinery to accommodate tasks needed for Production
• Works with departments to improve process throughout production to increase efficiencies and reduce cost
• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, etc.
• Maintains and services mechanical equipment and machinery
• Performs various major/minor repairs on the interior/exterior of the property including painting, drywall, and plumbing.
• Maintains records of maintenance needs and repairs on equipment using a computer
• Acts as a "first responder" when a stoppage occurs in production due to machinery
• Utilizes software to open and close work orders as well as maintain all maintenance records
• Valid driver''s license required
• Assist with various R&D projects as needed Other projects and duties as assigned.

MENTAL & PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Read, interpret, and follow safety rules and procedures in accordance to Alps Quality Policy
• Near acuity and hand/eye coordination required for proper packaging
• Able to hear in a production setting, machinery, loud noises, etc.
