About this role:
The Senior Systems Programming Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, design, development, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of UPS technology assets through the entire life cycle (e.g., mainframe, midrange, open systems and x86/x64 architectures, storage, mobile and fixed devices, etc.). He/She contributes to the management of the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance, capacity tuning, and support of third-party infrastructures, applications, and appliances (i.e., transaction, collaboration, communications protocols, application delivery, virtualization, and directory services). This position executes analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of storage and back-up and recovery solutions. The Senior Systems Programming Analyst provides analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of an Information Systems Security model for UPS Information Services (I.S.) environments. He/She performs planning, diagnoses risk and system issues, and takes corrective actions to ensure continuity of operations. This position identifies and implements technologies and processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment. Hershel develops business continuity design. This position utilizes supplied specifications and standardized tools for work assignments of moderate risk, impact, complexity, and scope.
The Senior System Programming Analyst must have 5+ years of Window Server administration and engineering with preference given to experience in a medium to large environment and will participate in 24x7 rotational on-call coverage.
The Senior System Programming Analyst will be expected to be able to take responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues as well as mentoring other Analysts for resolving issues.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012R2/2016 in an Active Directory Domain
- Experience with Implementing and Troubleshooting IIS
- Experience with Implementing and Troubleshooting Group Policy
- Experience with Server Hardware Replacement and troubleshooting
- Experience with Creating/customizing Powershell Scripts
- Experience with deploying software
- Proficiency with troubleshooting performance issues with applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Citrix XenApp 6.5/7.x including Citrix Provisioning Server
- SAN / LAN Technologies
- Nagios Monitoring
- Familiarity with SysInternal Tools for troubleshooting
- Creating Powershell scripts to automate tasks.
- Supporting Microsot Team Foundation Server
