Manufacturing Associate/Senior Associate 1005206

Job Scope & Purpose:

Our growing biotechnology client focused on developing stem cell-based therapies for rare disease, is seeking an outstanding manufacturing associate for clinical materials. This permanent role will report to an Associate Director/Director of Manufacturing and will play a role in the production and tech transfer of cell therapy products for support of upcoming clinical trials. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform product manufacturing for clinical materials in a GMP focused setting, including, but not limited to:
    • Assembling raw materials
    • Following and assisting in the development of specific standard operating procedures (SOP) for manufacturing
    • Completing batch records
    • Reporting deviations
    • Participating in and facilitating technology transfer and final process development to the Manufacturing group
  • Ensure raw materials are identified and available in time for manufacturing activities
  • Support Operations in proper coordination and allocation of resources

Primary Job Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Biological, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering or process-related sciences
  • Cell culture and cell processing experience required, with a preference for experience with 3-15 liter scale perfusion bioreactors
  • Strong preference for industry exposure, working in process development or manufacturing of cell therapy products in a GMP setting
  • Experience with embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cell culture and bioreactor-based cell culture strongly preferred
