Senior UX Researcher

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior UX Researcher for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD.



This position is 100% Remote.



Required Skills:

• Experience facilitating Design Thinking Sessions **


• Experience performing mixed-methods and discovery research (user interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability studies, etc)


• Analyzing and presenting info to stakeholders


• Previous Visual design skills would be valuable (experience with FIGMA is a plus).


• Experience with using a Design Systems is a plus


• Strong minded as they will be working with one team that is new to this process

1. 4-8 years of UX design experience focused around discovery/user research

- Ability to analyze and present info to stakeholders

- user interviews, surveys, diary studies, focus groups and workshopping

- portfolio that clearly shows these skills and/or work samples



2. Design thinking or systems thinking experience

- Experience setting up design thinking workshops with stakeholders

- any experience where they show they've done this would be great



3. Must have confidence and strong minded personality to work with a team that is new to this process.

- patience and empathy, but a go-getter

- establish and enforce research plans and processes



4. Must have portfolio or case studies that show their user research and process

- Experience in strategic research and creating longer-term research plans.

Preferred Skills:

Research repository experience is a plus.
