The eCommerce Java Developer Lead role provides technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates and works closely with other developers as a mentor. The incumbent is expected to be a consistently reliable technical professional that can handle all job responsibilities autonomously while executing at the highest level. The primary purpose of the position is to act as a technical resource in designing, developing, and providing support for our eCommerce applications. This role will be an integral part of a development team responsible for the technical aspects of eCommerce-related strategic initiatives. The Lead Developer works with engineers and architects to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Formal Education & Certification
%26bull; Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
%26bull; 8+ years IT experience.
%26bull; 6+ years of web application development experience in a Java/J2EE environment, including Java Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSP).
%26bull; 6+ years of object-oriented analysis and design.
%26bull; Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
%26bull; Experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
%26bull; Experience with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.
%26bull; Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful web services.
%26bull; Experience creating and consuming APIs
%26bull; Experience with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
