1. PC Software Support - meaning PC software support of MS OSes incl Win 7 and Win 10; and MS Office apps including Outlook in an Exchange environment, IE including v11, also Chrome. They also have a number of other apps specific to various departmental functions that they need ability to learn support for.
2. Enterprise level Help Desk experience - including extensive use of a ticketing system for daily work, and Knowledge base, etc; and strong customer service skills, strong skills troubleshooting over the phone, walking users through steps, etc; as well as remote support.
3. Technical Support at corporate/enterprise level, including troubleshooting connectivity of PCs, printers.
Our client is looking for a Helpdesk/PC Support technician to join their existing team of 11 technicians of which 1/3 sit in Birmingham, and 2/3 are in Louisiana.
The person will take approximately 15-20 calls per day providing technical support to our client's internal end users. The candidate will also be doing PC software support on Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer 11, as well as some proprietary applications, etc. The candidates are expected to troubleshoot the tickets and resolve problems instead of simply escalating.
