Industry Analyst at
our facility located in Greenville, NC. HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.
As an Industry Analyst, you will become a subject matter expert on market segments assigned, and will provide meaningful insights to develop long term go to market strategies as well as supporting sales activities. This role consists of five key aspects, all intimately related. They are:
-This individual will conduct focused market research, analyzing key industry and technology trends, our competitors, and their implications for HYG and the assigned verticals and segments. Market research activities include Voice of the Customer (VOC) interactions to better understand customer pain points and application needs; identify gaps in HYG's product or commercial offerings and develop plans for closure.
Strategy Development -
The Industry Analyst will bring together the results from market research, account coverage, and HYG performance in a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. This aspect of the role requires working cross-functionally with functions such as Sales Industry Marketing, Product Managers, Product Development, Aftermarket, and Finance. This individual is considered the lead person in the development of the strategies, and the execution of specific aspects of it
Project Management -
Responsible for project management of all industry-focused sales enablement activities (events, training, content, playbooks, account development, thought leadership) that increase awareness, participation, and closure to drive share gain in targeted industry verticals.
The successful Industry Analyst will have the following Key Accountabilities:
Develop sales enablement strategies, content, roadmaps, positioning strategies and product and commercial concepts through extensive market and customer research
Compelling product positioning that generates strong share and profit gains.
The right message communicated to the right audience at the right time relevant to specific buying cycles and varying market conditions.
Partner with the HYG Brand Management Team and marketing agencies/consultants to develop, implement, and integrate vertical marketing activities with brand marketing activities. Drive efforts to profile segments and audiences to increase direct and dealer sales awareness, participation, and closure.
Consistency of all industry specific activities within overall Brand strategy and positioning in a way that builds HYG progress in targeted industries and grows brand market share.
Clear communication of industry needs to brand management and Product and Industry Solutions and Strategy
Work closely with engineering, brand and dealer teams throughout development process to ensure initial goals are met and provide decision support.
Effective communication and team work between all areas involved with product development. Industry-focused commercial offerings and products that meet market requirements and share goals.
Track product share and profit performance, produce market segmentation analysis and market forecasts Develop plans to grow share and address competitive threats. Projects manage all industry-focused sales enablement initiatives.

The successful Fleet Service Specialist will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree, technical/engineering/business or related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Project management skills
Strong product, application and technical knowledge
Strong analytical skills, business acumen and product marketing skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is a plus
