Retail Assistant

Our 1,400 retail volunteers are essential in keeping our shops running smoothly. Volunteers typically work 4 hours per week, enjoying a team environment while giving back to the community. Ideal for those with an interest in fashion and looking to gain valuable work experience. Volunteers develop retail and customer service skills, with on-the-job training provided.

Shifts: Half-day weekly.

• Responsibilities include operating the till and EFTPOS, putting out stock, tidying the shop floor, and pricing items.
• Perks: Staff discount available after one month of volunteering.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualities:

• Excellent customer service and cash handling skills.
• Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
• Friendly, reliable, and honest personality.

Other Requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccination information due to the nature of the role.
• A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

• One shift per week, with the option to take on more if you have availability.

Shop Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Flexibility:
