SRA - Antibody Engineering

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Characterize antibody binding and relate to functionality for candidate antibodies using FACS
  • Perform transient and stable transfection in different cell lines for routine recombinant protein production
  • Lead the generation of stable cell lines for the expression of proteins and monoclonal and bispecific antibodies
  • Lead the optimization of cell culture processes and help implement novel technologies
  • Maintain cell culture facilities and culture cell lines as required for experiments
  • Maintain accurate inventory of the produced proteins
  • Maintain electronic laboratory notebook
  • Analyze and interpret data, generate reports, communicate project updates as appropriate
  • Participate and present scientific data in team meetings

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, protein/antibody engineering or closely related fields with 10+  years (BS), 5+  years (MS) or 2+  years (PhD) industry experience
  • Minimum of two (2)  years of experience with cytometry instrument platforms (analyzers, sorters).  Proficiency with cytometry data analysis software (eg BD FACS Diva software, FlowJo etc)
  • Expertise in cell culture and managing cell lines essential
  • Proficient in Mammalian cell culture and cell transfection methodologies
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, organized and disciplined record keeping
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn, adapt and develop in an evolving work environment
  • Committed to the values of integrity, scientific rigor and transparency
  • Strong desire to work in a dynamic start-up environment is essential
  • Current US work authorization required
