Technical Sales Representative (Compressed Air Treatment)

We have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Clean Air Systems sales team, specifically selling market-leading compressed air treatment technologies. You will identify, develop, and grow key accounts in the industrial filtration market by understanding client requirements, designing solutions, and articulating the value of Pentair’s products, solutions, and technologies. You will work closely with end-users, distributor partners, and system integrators to grow sales and revenue with key accounts, as well as drive new business development.
** This posting is for 1 position. Ideal candidates will be in any posted metropolitan area. When not travelling, you can work from home. **
You will:

Maximize sales revenue of established accounts, as well as target new business opportunities with OEMs, distributor partners, and system integrators in the industrial compressed air industries through the development of key personal relationships.

Partner with internal teams in the bid & proposal process and clearly understand all customer needs and expectations. This may include negotiating terms and conditions.

Provide feedback for innovation, Voice of the Customer (VoC), capture market & industry trends, and competition intel and customer purchasing strategies to develop new solutions, grow market-share, and penetrate new markets.

Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel / portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.

Regularly call on customers in assigned markets, ultimately driving sales conversions.
Key Qualifications:
-
Have earned a Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree. Engineering degree preferred.

Knowledge of and/or experience with compressed air treatment technologies, such as hollow fiber membrane, desiccant, or refrigerated air dryers.

Have 3+ years of industrial sales experience, including experience selling to end-users, OEMs, distributor partners, or system integrators.

Strong sales aptitude, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets, channels, and/or accounts.

Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting technical product information and/or training.

Team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Travel:
- Up to 60% (including overnight) to customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.
