Summary:Global Payments is seeking a Communications Manager to assist in the coordination, integration, development and execution of communication plans and company messaging strategies for a range of communication projects, messages and tasks. This includes research for and writing of company messages for a variety of mediums and audiences, including customers, partners and employees.
The candidate must have excellent marketing, communications, organizational and strategic analytical skills along with the ability to prioritize effectively. Key requirements include, proven leadership ability and presence, comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, and self-discipline to autonomously produce exceptional results.
This role is an influential and visible position both internally and externally. Working closely with Global Payments’ Corporate Marketing team, this role will make high-impact contributions to Global Payments’ business, leadership, and culture of innovation on its route to becoming a Fortune 500 company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Aggregate, create and implement compelling messages for a variety of audiences, including employees, current and potential partners/customers and investors to be used in a variety of print and electronic mediums.
Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, videos, presentation materials, town halls, small group meetings etc.) to articulate key messages.
Ensure communication messaging and materials are high-quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with business priorities and themes.
Manage the company’s internal news process, leveraging the internal tools and exploring mobile capabilities. Use other technologies as appropriate to maximize the company’s communication effectiveness.
Play a key role in organizing and managing communications platforms for executive leadership.
Ensure consistent messaging, branding, imagery and corporate identity.
Act as liaison between Management, agencies, internal departments, regional and community-based contacts when gathering and developing content for communication projects, plans and messages.
Develop and execution communication campaigns and programs, which may require ongoing strategic planning, writing content and providing regular communication support.
Research, gather content and write compelling feature stories for internal and external use and publication in print and electronic mediums.
Monitor incoming communication requests, craft appropriate responses, distribute messages to support teams and offer guidance as needed.
Assist in the development of media statements, talking points and other related communication.
Prepare and edit organizational presentations and other materials for speaking or interview opportunities.
Assist other marketing and communications team members in creating communications to be used across all Global Payments platforms
Partner with IT and other members of corporate marketing team to leverage new technologies where possible, helping the company communicate seamlessly and naturally with employees.
Measure communications with the goal of continuously improving communications strategy to reach and engage employees
Coordinate distribution of information which may include preparation of databases, distribution of printed material and list management
Assist in the coordination of language translation
Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external company events
Manage and lead vendors to accomplish activities according to project plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
6+ years of experience in a communications or public relations agency setting, with experience developing and implementing communications programs.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations or related field required
Experience with B2B, technology or financial companies. Experience with global company preferred.
Proactive and creative approach to communicating strategy and engaging audiences
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience working on multimedia stories, including partnering with videographers and editors to tell engaging stories on video
Project management and event planning experience
Ability to analyze audience information/communication requirements and meet those needs through the use of appropriate vehicles and messages.
Deep experience in and understanding of internal and external social media and digital platforms, including Yammer
Excellent organizational skills with ability to coordinate numerous projects simultaneously.
