Description:Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company. Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close-out.

Aerospace and/or Defense industry related experience.

Experience with complex financial terms and concepts (ex. Long Range Plan (LRP), Return on Sale (ROS), proposal pricing, Executive Planning Panel experience, etc.).

Microsoft Office computer skills / experience are required.

Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) skills or usage of similar Contract Management software tools.

Desired Skills:

Ten or more years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or eight or more years with a Master's.

Contracting experience with the U.S. Government.

Working knowledge and understanding of Offsets (Industrial Participation).

This is a highly visible role involving in-person negotiations with Government Customers (both Military/Government and Commercial Entities). As such, the successful candidate must possess exceptional bearing and professionalism.

Candidate must possess the ability to influence positive business outcomes with fact, reason, and the ability to convey the company's positions both orally and via exceptional writing skills.

Proven experience administering and negotiating a variety of contract types

Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate should be a proactive "self-starter" capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

The qualified individual should be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen.

Candidate should also possess strong analytical skills and be a team player.
