The demand for fresh food is increasing the need for better shipping and storing capabilities across the entire cold supply chain. Food spoilage is a major problem with ~1/3 of it being thrown away. Food safety is a problem as well with 1 in 6 Americans contracting foodborne illness each year. We do see a future where all food shipped from farm to fork, arrives safely and sustainably. Now we do not produce, move, store or sell food directly. We serve the businesses that do all of those things. Serving businesses and optimizing our customer’s performance across their Cold Chain is the role we play. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Digital Food Safety solutions team that’s responsible for a portfolio of solutions where the technology stacks include device hardware, device software, communications, cloud platform and cloud applications. You will need a holistic understanding of how all of the components fit together and can grasp the basic principles of managing the entire stack. For this specific role, we are looking for expertise in cloud platforms and cloud applications. Reporting to the VP of Product, the Senior Product Manager works with product managers, engineering, marketing, operations, and sales, to build a growing network of happy, referenceable customers for our solutions.
As a Senior Product Manager- Cloud Platform and Applications, YOU WILL:
Be responsible for the product and value proposition
Maximize the value of the product and work of the engineering teams
Own the delivery team backlog and output
Balance new features with reactive work such as maintenance, cost optimization and tackling tech debt
Be an expert in the user, the jobs they are trying to accomplish and problems they face
Drive the vision, strategy, design and execution of the product
Own the product roadmaps and requirements
Prioritize work of the engineering teams
Manage the full lifecycle of the product from cradle to grave
Build a growing network of happy, referenceable customers for the product

Schedule:
We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5 years’ experience in software industry
Bachelors level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with an agile software development team
5 years' of increasing levels of product management or engineering responsibility on modern product teams.
Has worked in a leadership role on a product team to develop and ship a new software product.
Has shipped multiple products.
Experience as a product manager
Experience developing software in any language; not production code but enough to hack a working prototype together
Expertise in product discovery and ability to structure a testing plan to validate / invalidate assumptions from insight to launch.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with the implementation of growth initiatives that lead to stronger market penetration.
Experience in the launch of multiple B2B/B2C products, with IoT and subscription based business models
Experience directing work for teams across technology stacks that include hardware, firmware, cloud APIs and mobile app
Experience working on a team with user experience professionals
