Description:Client is seeking an innovative scientist with experience in seed quality testing and plant physiology. Innovation Science and Engineering is a fast paced, timeline-driven, team-oriented environment that requires collaboration, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a diverse and multifunctional team environment. The position will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for system or process improvements, onboarding of new technologies or methods, and assisting in method development. The successful candidate will thrive on meeting challenges, insist on high quality deliverables, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and possess the ability to build productive external and internal relationships.
Responsibilities include:• Contributing as part of the team to deliver daily/weekly project targets
• Generating high quality data required for project advancement
• Adhering to established protocols and good laboratory practice techniques
• Developing long range plans and project scheduling with team members
• Routine to complex problem solving related to production troubleshooting
• Demonstrating good judgment when identifying and implementing optimizations
• Maintaining detailed record keeping and ISO documentation for process improvements
• Achieving commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and best practices
The successful candidate will must be self-motivated and capable of driving towards results
independently as well as working cross-functionally with multiple people. They must possess a high
level of agility to move between experiment and contribute to the design and execution of experiments related to seed quality and seed biology.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in area of biological sciences with 2+ years lab experience.
Desired Qualifications:Bachelor’s + 4 years experience, or attainment of a graduate degree in biological sciences field or experience with seed physiology or plant biology.
