Project Managers provide business and technical leadership for one or more projects within the Franchise, leading project teams through the identification, justification, prioritization, initiation, development and implementation processes. Project managers will lead their teams in financial analysis including market research, cash flow, and capital and project costs. They will collaborate with the appropriate functional teams and Sr. PMO personnel to develop and negotiate contracts. This person will ensure communications occur with stakeholders and partners. They will participate in organizational issue resolution. Project Managers will lead the core team to define the milestones to achieve the launch date commitments and identify issues and risks associated with those plans. This person will lead their team in the utilization of medical device product life cycle management processes.The Project Manager will lead the formation of the core team and its ability to deliver the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a cross functional team to plan and execute the delivery of a medical product development project.
Specific responsibilities include:
o Based on the product's marketing requirements, work with the cross functional team to develop the product development schedule through initial concept through launch (including resources and budget needed to execute the schedule)
o Lead a weekly cross functional core team meeting, focusing on critical path tasks / deliverables, important decisions, and resolution of any high priority issues.
o Track progress via a Microsoft Project schedule and provide periodic updates to a management team on progress
o Generate additional metrics for example document approval status and a project risk register that can be used to demonstrate over-all health of the program

Business acumen
Competent application of Vital Behaviors and Leadership Essentials
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and Product Development Process requirements
Demonstrated competencies in all aspects of project management
Ability to develop others
PMI or IPMA or equivalent certification desired

Good communication skills with matrix management experience required.
Independent judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques required.

Education / Experience
1. Bachelors of Science in Engineering with equivalent 8-10 years relevant experience
2. PMP certification highly desired
3. Minimum 4+ years of project management experience with leading product development projects
4. Experience with leading projects related to medical devices and their respective consumables such as IV access, solutions, and containers.
5. Experience with managing global expansions projects a plus, including managing medical device software (NOT IT related) and medical device labeling translation work performed by an outside vendor.
6. Experience leading teams for new product development OR sustaining product activities
7. Demonstrated confidence in reporting project status to senior management; good communication skills
8. Proficient with MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint, required
9. Thorough, up to date knowledge of multiple disciplines required.
