UM St. Joseph Medical Center is a 218 licensed bed, Catholic acute care hospital that observes the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. Originally called St. Joseph German Hospital, it was founded in 1864 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. The organization moved to its current location in Towson, Maryland in 1965. The Pharmacist is responsible for providing various clinical services including but not limited to the following:
taking park in continuing education programs for the medical, nursing and pharmacy staff; advising physicians
on drug usage and dose control, as well as optimization of drug therapy assisting the pharmacy Clinical
Manager and Director in everyday duties; independent evaluations and recommendations for appropriate
therapeutic decisions to and in collaboration with other health care providers; and mentorship of pharmacy
students.What You Need to Be Successful:
- 1-2 Years ASHP approved residency (Required)
- BS or Pharm D from ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Required)
- Registered Pharmacist with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Preferred)
