Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation
Operations span all product lines and markets.Asset & Wealth Management - Asset Management Operations is responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Merchant Bank businesses in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle.Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Bank Relationship Management team is responsible for the management of the front-to-back oversight governance framework for fund administrators, custodians and brokers across the Asset Management fund complex and institutional client managed accounts
GS Asset Management manages close to $1 trillion in more than 1,000 funds, distributed to clients across our client base.Bank Relationship Management is looking for an experienced relationship coordinator at the Vice President level to join our growing team in New York.ResponsibilitiesCoverage and oversight of custodian and fund administrators to maximize potential value delivery across the firmCreating and driving strategic projects for vendors based on divisional and business unit priorities and needsAssisting with the evaluation, selection, negotiation and onboarding of new vendors and ongoing compliance with Firm vendor policiesEvaluate new business/products/markets and collaborate across teams to represent and drive work streamsComply with internal risk frameworks and industry regulations to reduce risk and extract maximum value from our global network, connecting with stakeholders to lobby for internal or market changeAbility to operate independently and effectively drive multiple initiativesDetail oriented with the ability to quickly identify and learn pertinent information across wide range of productsExcellent written, communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently multi-task and prioritize work under tight deadlinesIntellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic and commitment to a superior work productAbility to cultivate effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholdersForward thinking, with the ability to assert new ideas and follow them throughSelf-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projectsStrong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesExplore solutions that leverage business intelligence, low code automation, industry utilities, and external vendor solutionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant industry experiencePreferred QualificationsRelevant work experience of 8+ yearsAbility to prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentWell-developed organizational skillsFund experience is not required, but would be an advantage Knowledge of fund products (i.e., mutual funds and alternative investment funds) and regulatory environments would be beneficialSalary RangeThe expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$235000
