The Production Control Clerk compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.


  • Responsible for collecting, editing, and submitting maintenance data.

  • Involved in planning, coordination, and scheduling of the maintenance workflow between various repair shops to ensure timely completion of repairs on supported equipment.

  • Performs duties in accordance with DA Pam 750-8.

  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in establishing production schedules based on known requirements and other liaison services as required.

  • Provides information relative to progress and completion of work.

  • Advises on scheduling and priority control.

  • Participates in evaluation of branch performance and assists in preparation of maintenance reports and statistical performance data.

  • Perform Shop Supply services in order to attain, manage shelf life, and dispose of materiel required to support the MMD mission in accordance with AR 750-1, AR 710-2, DA PAM 25-30, AR 725-50, DA Pam 710-2-2, AR 740-1, AR 735-5, AR 710-1, AR 710-3, DA Pam 710-7, AR 710-3, Inventory Management; DA Pam 710-2-1 and LIS users manual.

  • Order repair parts in accordance with Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLM) 4000.25, DLM 4000.25-1 Priority Designators, Standard and Required Delivery Dates, and ASC FY guidance.

  • Review canceled or rejected requisitions and reorder.

  • May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, week-ends, and holidays.

  • Other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum oftwo (2) years military or civilian experience in a production control operation is desired.

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with GCSS-Army.

K nowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobate.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
