Senior Structural Analyst job in Camden at HOLTEC International

Holtec International, a turnkey supplier of technologies for the nuclear and fossil power industries, is seeking to add an experienced mechanical/civil/structural analyst to its Engineering Mechanics Group. The senior analyst would be called upon to analyze metallic, reinforced concrete and soil-subgrade supported structures.
Typical analyses include:

• Static and dynamic finite element modeling and analyses using ANSYS
• Modeling and analyses of structural impacts and target response using LS-DYNA
• Simulation of the seismic response of freestanding structures in air or submerged in water
• Static and dynamic analyses of large reinforce concrete structures
• Soil-structure analyses with freestanding and/or anchored structures

• Applicant must possess a BS in mechanical/civil/structural engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience. MS will count for 2 years of experience and Ph.D. will count for 5 years of experience (experience from MS and Ph.D. cannot be combined)
• Familiarity with standard industry and design codes/manuals such as ASME, ASCE, ACI and AISC
• Must possess excellent credentials in principles of solid mechanics
• Must possess excellent technical writing and communication skills

• Academic or industrial experience in the latest stress analysis codes such as ANSYS or LS-DYNA or GT STRUDL
• Prior nuclear industry experience including interactions with NRC or other regulatory authorities
