This senior level consultant will be instrumental in helping to support our Environmental project work in California. This role can be in our Laguna Hills office (in So Cal) or in San Jose, Alameda or San Bruno offices (in Nor Cal). We need a leader who can support work, who has consulting experience, and can help grow client business. This exciting position is responsible for technical consulting responsibilities, so we are looking for a unique individual who has senior level technical EHS&S expertise in Environmental Compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Development and implementation of written Environmental programs.
  • Oversee environmental permitting projects (e.g. air, water, waste, etc.)
  • Performing Environmental audits and site assessments
  • Supporting technical environmental training.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare SPCC and SWPP plans and programs.
  • Working knowledges in management systems.
  • Supporting sustainability projects.
  • Performing project management and internal customer management.
  • Mentoring other consultants in their specialty areas.
  • Providing quality review.
  • Participating in recruitment efforts for region and directly related efforts in other regions. Strong leadership skills to eventually help mentor others in sales.
  • Other Skills/Abilities:
    Results driven and highly energeticInitiative for and success with business development and client serviceStrong interpersonal skillsHighly effective verbal and written communication plus senior level presentation and negotiation skillsSelf-sufficient in current office applications (eg MS Office)

    Job Requirements

    Education & Experience:
  • Prior EHS consulting experience required
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Environmental Compliance required
  • Undergraduate degree in a Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineering
  • A Master degree is a plus
  • PE in Civil Engineering a plus
  • 7 years of related experience in preferably in a consulting firm
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Critical thinking ability
