Job Description: Job Summary
Under routine supervision, generate and separate shipping orders, prepare and maintain shipping supplies, accurately pull product from finished good inventory for customer orders and product requisitions, properly scan product with barcode reader, pack, document (both domestic and international), and ship domestic, international, and inter-company orders. Organizes and files all shipping documents. Interact with the Customer Service department personnel. Perform daily inventory cycle counts of finish good inventory. Receives in and restocks finish good product. Maintain organization and cleanliness of stockroom area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Restock received product into the pulling stock bins utilizing and maintaining FIFO (first in first out) organization.
Generate daily shipping orders and pull product from finished goods shelves (utilizing "First in, First Out" procedures) matching product with shipping order.
Accurately scan all pulled product from the inventory system utilizing the bar-code shipping software.
Properly verify and re-label all products for international shipment per Zimmer Dentals General Procedure GP-91.
Submit and follow up on all international orders that are required to have inspection by the QA department prior to shipment.
Properly prepare and pack all products for shipment to both domestic and international customers using various shipping carriers.
Communicate with all related freight forwarders to set up international shipment pick ups and resolve any issues that may arise with shipments held in Customs.
Utilizing computer shipping systems, prepare packing slips, tracking labels, priority stickers, COD paperwork, and label boxes according to method of shipping per shipping order (i.e., COD, OVERNIGHT, UPS, etc.).
Provide detailed shipping information to the International Customer Service reps, Product Planner, and Distributors and resolve any issues that may arise between the departments as they relate to international shipments
Perform daily cycle counts and assist the warehouse supervisor in resolving discrepancies in the finished goods area and participate in company wide inventories when required.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)
1 to 2 years of previous warehousing / shipping (both domestic and international) experience (medical device industry preferred) or 12 to 18 months on the job training.
Education/ Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Familiarity with computers - shipping systems Federal Express and U.P.S. and warehouse management systems, and applications Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be able to read (English) and follow instructions and perform simple arithmetic.
Good communication skills both verbal and written (English).
Good driving record.
Familiar with pallet lift operation preferred but will train and certify on the job.
Able to handle heavy materials 50+ pounds utilizing various warehouse lifting equipment (must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted).
Perform courier service between Zimmer facilities and local Federal Express or U.P.S. stations
